I just finished this painting 2 minutes ago for a client.  This is the Comfort Felt and Foam building around 31st and Gilman.  It’s a lovely building (ps. it looks like this in real life).

Two of my pieces, a plate and jar, have been recently been accpeted into the show “Objects of Virtue” juried by Julia Galloway.  The show opens on December 2nd and runs through January at Bedford Gallery in norther California.  Check out the poster below, or click on the link for  a larger version.

collaborations

Decorating forms I normally would never make is super exciting, hence collaboration.  The tea cup is designed by Ryan Fletcher and decorated by myself.  The startled owl is sculpted by Calder Kamin and decorated by yours truly.  These pieces are wonderfully fresh.

los reas

Here is my latest painting titled Los Reas.  Los Reas is an adorable little house in my neighborhood with quite some character.  I am going to put this picture in their mailbox with a note saying, “I think your house is cute”.

I adopted a kitty this past week.  His name is Zucchini and he is the most handsome, wonderful boy I have ever met.

I’ve been developing a line of plates that are full of surprises, letting the decoration slightly peek over the edges to entice exploration.  I am using red art terra sig, underglazes, and colored slips.  Here is a stack in the process.
